Test Rig – A350 Rudder Full Scale Test
During the development of a new aircraft program the strength capability of the airframe is tested and in a second step validated for the certification. As part of this task the complete A350 rudder will be tested.
For the rudder full scale test the test rig shall consist of a main trusswork structure for test including inspection platforms and stairways. The interface points of the hydraulic jacks, which create the required load on the rudder structure, have a fixed position in the test rig.
